About
Chances are, if you are reading my blog you know very well who I am. But, just in case I get a reader that I don’t know, here is a little bit about me:
I love Christ and try to live more like Him every day. I am blessed with a wonderful husband of 4 years, he is amazing and (I don’t care how cheesy this sounds) my soul mate. We have 2 wonderful children so far (and the 3rd is due in July!!), and are hoping the Lord blesses us with more. Our children are amazing, they make us smile and laugh all the time. They are smart and creative, and it is a privilege to be able to raise them.
As far as hobbies and interests go, I have many…
I enjoying reading, even though I don’t get to it as often as I’d like. So far I haven’t incorparated this too much in my blog, but maybe as I increase my reading I will start doing reviews of books.
I love playing the piano, and have recently gotten back into playing as I got my own piano last year! My kids all love music as well and we like to sing hymns and psalms together.
I still try and incorporate sports into my life as a mom. My husband has been very helpful in this, watching the kids while I play softball or soccer. I have been very fortunate to have a few adult/night league options available to me, otherwise there is no way it would work!
My new recent hobby is photography. I haven’t been too serious about it (as you can tell from my pictures… most are nothing special). But we just got a new camera, one that has fancy settings and manual operations. So now I have no excuse… I *have* to take good pictures! Plus, that and we have photoshop which is something I have never tried until now. I can see myself very much enjoying it.
A little about my background and why I write about some of the things I do:
1) You will notice right away that most of my posts have to do with family, children, and day to day life. Because right now, that is MY life! I love it. I love being a stay-at-home mom, and am so thankful that we are able to make that work for our family.
2) I have my Bachelor’s in Mathematics, which is why you will occasionally see something about math being posted on here. I know, random- right? I know not everyone loves math, so I don’t post too much. But some things are just too good to pass up. Plus, I tutor math from my home! I plan on writing helpful “teach you child math” posts in the near future.
3) You will also see some posts on Theology. I don’t get too into theology here on my blog, but there are times when I just need to write about it. You see, my husband and I have very different theological backgrounds. He is Catholic, and I am Protestant. We make it work. (And I happen to think we make it work quite well!). We love to talk theology. We learned how to discuss our differences without getting personal or without getting mad. I really feel that our differences sharpen us!
4) You will see plenty of silly posts. Whether these are my weekend polls, which frequently ask questions which have no real value, or just something silly I found or did- I can’t help it. I love to laugh and smile.
I hope you enjoy you time here at my blog!
